Money has a purpose; Reliant works with you to make that purpose more likely to be realized.

Reliant Wealth Planning is co-owned by Shaun Chelf, MSFS, CFP®, RICP®, AEP®, FBS®, CRPC® and Laura Clark, CFP®, RICP®, ChFC®, ABFPsm, CRPC®, MBA.

We are primarily fee-based

We are primarily fee-based, meaning we are paid directly by our clients to assist them with financial planning and investment management. Such a structure helps mitigate or remove conflicts of interest. When appropriate for a client, we can also be compensated by project fees, or in certain situations, such as when some type of insurance product is involved, trails and commissions.

We Hold no client funds directly

Reliant utilizes outside third party companies to custody client assets. Thus, Reliant directly holds no client funds. This creates a natural check and balance system that helps protect a client.

We are A dually registered firm

We are a hybrid, or dually registered firm. This means we are registered both as a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with the SEC and as Registered Representatives through an Independent Broker-Dealer with FINRA. Such a dual structure allows us to deal with a larger breadth of a client’s total needs.

We are fiduciaries, putting the
client’s best interest first.

Why People Choose Reliant

Reliant’s differentiating value is our focus on building “comfort” for clients. Comfort is NOT some abstract feeling, but rather a deep sense of your needs being met, based on three factors:

First Step Financial Planning

We want a long-term relationship with clients, not to just simply complete a transaction for a customer and move on to the next “opportunity.”

We are fanatical about continuously building our level of technical expertise in both financial planning and portfolio management. We have many of the most respected designations in our fields, such as CFP®, RICP®, CFA® and CRPC®. Although we would be the first to admit that designations do not prove competence, they are a strong indicator of someone seeking it.

Trust is earned by consistently doing what we have committed to doing and diligently trying to properly set expectations.
